I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona in the USA. I studied to be a language arts teacher. I’ve always loved traveling and have dreamed about living abroad. So, after graduating from college I took the plunge and moved to Sihu, Taiwan in July 2011. Sihu is a small town, a 30 minute drive from Taichung, Taiwan’s third largest city. I taught English at a local cram school. I enjoyed the job but despised the six-day work week.

Therefore, after eight months of teaching in Sihu, I moved to Sanzhi, Taiwan. Sanzhi is a small town along the north east coast. Now I am five minutes from the beach and 40 minutes from the exciting city of Taipei. I now teach for a New Taipei City program which aims to inspire enthusiasm for English in students across New Taipei City.

I love traveling and learning about new cultures and am excited to continue living and learning in Taiwan!
