Cathedral Cove

Our next destination was the Coromandel Peninsula. We found a hostel in the small town of Hahei, which was near several of the activities we wanted to do. After finding a hostel, we went to the nearby Cathedral Cove. Cathedral Cove is a part of a marine reserve. It was a 30 minute walk from the car park. Some parts of the path were quite muddy and slippery. However, the scenery along the way was stunning!

The cove was beautiful; the water surrounding it a deep blue and aqua. A few small islands stood not far from the beach. I learned that Cathedral Cove was featured in the movie, “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian.” So, now I’ve been to Narnia!
